Devils Lake Slips by Purple (2-01-06)
Devils Lake brought two hockey teams to Bottineau Tuesday night and both of them went home winners. The Devils lake Bantam team defeated the Bottineau Bantam Purple 2-1. Devils Lake High School beat the BHS Braves 9-0.
Bantam Purple 2nd in Minot tourney (1-27-06)
In the Minot Border "A" Cup Invitational Tournament
last weekend, Bottineau Purple Bantams defeated the Mouse Mountain
Screamin' Eagles 7 to 5 on Friday night.
Saturday morning they defeated the Praire Storm 11 to 0 (Mouse Mountain
and Prairie Storm are regional teams from Saskatchewan).
Saturday nite the Purple Bantams defeated Hazen/Beulah 6 to 5.
Sunday in the Championship game against the Minot Marauders, after regulation
and
a 5 min overtime, the score was knotted at 2 - 2.

The Bottineau Purple Bantams ended tournament
play with a disheartening 2-3 overtime loss following a 3-man
shoot-out. But second place in a tough tournament is still a
worthy accomplishment. |
